Chundy’s Bistro was born out of a necessity for simple, delicious, homemade food, just like Stephan Chundy’s mom used to make. Stephan and his father, David, started their venture four years ago as Golden Rise Bakery. When the lunch and dinner menu items started to sell more then the pastries it was decided that a switch must be made!

Two years ago the two started operating as Chundy's Bistro serving many a hot meal and plenty of delicious soups, salads and sandwiches.  At Chicago French Market, Chundy’s offers Indian-fusion dishes, plus a variety of quality grab-and-go meals, salads, snacks and drinks. Menu highlights include cold sandwiches, meat and vegetarian Panini, soups such as green curry coconut, traditional Indian mulligatawny and lentil, salads, side dishes, a selection of chutneys and slaws and a collection of fruit and vegetable sweet breads, flatbreads, plus fresh fruit smoothies, milkshakes and iced fruit teas.

David and Stephan are so pleased to be able to bring their operations to the bustling streets of downtown Chicago – making Chundy’s a “big city” bistro with small town charm!
